You are welcome to the Ross Islands, as I have been telling you from my experience; if the earth is refreshed with the peace of man then it is enough to wake up. Let’s start the journey. At first take boat ticket from Marina Park (ticket counter) to Ross Island in which only 10 people can sit and that too with life guard jacket. Safety is first priority. The ticket price is ₹ 370 each and after wearing life jackets carefully, and we got into the boat and reached Ross Island within five minute. As soon as we got down from the boat, the sailor said, all you have only 1 hr 15 minutes, all of you wanderers will have to come, and we will wait for you here. Then after what we saw was that a lot of deer were at the entrance to welcome us, for the first time we saw the Deer (near about 20-30 Deer) and we all became so happy and everyone started taking pictures.
After taking the picture and touching their horn and skin my heart did not agree then I saw the coconut seller asking me to drink coconut water and I buy one coconut and said that it should be cream in it , the rate of coconut was ₹ 50. Just as he took the coconut in his hand, all the deer came near me, I couldn’t understand what happened. Then I saw that they was looking at my hand and as if I had taken out the cream, as soon as the deer started eating the coconut with his teeth, I was shocked because the deer was eating it peacefully without hurting me.
Seeing this, some people came forward and also started feeding coconut to the deer, then after that we started our journey, I saw that there is also electric vehicles which will give a better feel in the journey in less time, it can accommodate 8 people in one vehicle & it can go up-to Lighthouse for which the ticket cost is ₹ 80 each. I took the ticket and went with full of 8 people, our vehicle got out, and the driver who, as a guide, kept telling us about places like Industries, Houses, Club, Bakery, Church etc. places to keep weapons by the East India Company. There are many small and big ancient buildings in which the roots of many big trees have taken care of everything by the nature. Within 5-6 minutes we reached light house. A lot of beauty was visible from the door, the towers were rising above the sky and the waves were crashing. Beyond that, the statue of sailor was looking very happy. Deer were seen everywhere, as if it was their home, really, without Deer, and Peacock and other animal no one would be able to live there, these animals are the real beauty of these Island. Then we went towards the light house, saw a lot of water, went down, and logged the bridge. It was such a wonderful sight that the eyes no longer had any hatred.
For some time, I took a lot of photos, seeing so much greenery was soothing my eyes, the island was covered by mother nature. I felt like staying longer but time was very less, not even a single peacock could be seen, maybe there was too much sunlight making the peacocks turn towards the other side of the jungle then we returned back to the same vehicle in which we had started. All the vehicles were given numbers, ours was number 2. We all 8 people returned and reached the jetty. After seeing a lot of deer, we feels blessed, after a while the sailor came and said, Sir, the boat is ready to sail , we can go now. Then we all went back to the marina park jetty wearing life jackets, then I found out that if you don’t wear a life jacket, you will be issued a challan by police officer to the boat because there are police officer on both the jetties who are keeping an eye on everyone’s safety. The journey should always be never ending, find so much peace that man feels all the love is there, the fights, the pain doesn’t put any weight in it.
