A Peculiar Man

A Man named Christopher Thomas Knight who lived in total isolation for 27 years between 1986 to 2013 in North Pond area of  Maine’s Belgrades Lake. He  had claimed that he was out of gas (Fuel) and then went into extreme isolation for 27 years and became known as North Pond Hermit. During his extreme isolation he used to steal items from cabins and from camp sites in the woods. For almost 27 years the man steals from people who lived or came to the woods. During the years of  isolation he encountered a hiker in 1990 and just said Hi!. In 2013, he was captured by the local authorities when he was trying to steal some items from near by camp. He was charged for burglary which he had done for almost 27 years and also paid compensation to the victims. But in all those years of self isolations people of Maine lived in fear that who is doing these things and there is someone or something who does it. He doesn’t exist in records as if there was no person ever in that name was born. He suffered and faced extreme climatic condition .

This is such a strange  thing where a man who went in complete isolation after he went out of gas. Is the reason justifiable?  Some say it shows extreme self reliance as he gone to extreme self isolation. For 27 years this man was missing and no one reported him as missing. What was the state of his mind that he took this kind of step to completely isolate himself form the world. Does it really show self reliance? What do you all think?

In  my point of view this things are impulsive  which forces a person to do  kind of things which may lead into extreme kind of situations.
